I had so much fun teaching my Zumba class this morning! I thoroughly enjoyed my playlist, as did my class. I love it when they sing along and hoot and clap. You know they're enjoying it, too! This was my morning playlist and as I look through the songs, I remember that one of the reasons I choose songs is because I'm inspired by other instructors. I always love attending as many other instructor's classes as I can fit in for this very reason!
Canta Canta, Minha Gente I got from Thayna's class. Bryan inspired me to do Sweet Girl. Mia originally did Arremangala Arrempujala. John did Crazy Love. Jazzie did Shake Your Body Down to the Ground. I went to Thayna's class and then directly to Alex' class afterwards one Sunday and both did Vamos Pa' La Pista. I loved it so much I added it to my repertoire. Then Alex did Coranzoncito Bonito and I had to add that one, too.
I loved Wally in ZIN 43 hence, Take On Me and Salsa Choke (which the class loved!). I also always try to keep in mind what Beto said the day I got licensed with him. Of course the Zumba formula is 70% Latin and 30% other. He strongly encouraged us to use this formula. In his own words, "If your class is 90% Salsa. It's a Salsa Class, not a Zumba class. If your class is 90% Hip Hop, it's a Hip Hop Class, not a Zumba class." Get the picture? LOL...I do have a few salsa's, eh?
I'm off to be inspired more! Much Zumba Love!
